I have the large regular size version. I custom fitted it into the stock location. I had to remove the stock battery tray and what not to make it work.
You can check here -->

For the battery terminals...

Thank you darknigtht for the awesome write-up.

I'm just in the planning stages of my ICE install, so your info is right on time for me.

As soon as I can figure out what components I want, I may be back with some install questions.

I have a question. I currently have a 4 gauge kit running to a xtant 404 amp (400 watts or so with 4 channels) for my door speakers.

I just got a sub and will be running a 2nd 400 watt amp for that.

Now shoudl i just run two 4 gauge wire kits or can i run one thicker wiring kit for the power wire, and then split it into two 4 gauge wires in my trunk and run that to power each of my amps?

I was hoping to be able to run one large wiring kit first, and then split it so that i can run a capacitor possibly before the split instead of having to get a seperate Cap for each amp. What do u guys think?

Running a single 0 gauge wire to a distribution block and then 4 gauge to each amp would be your best bet. Make sure you get a fused distribution block, as any time you change gauge of wire there should be a fuse for protection.

I'd run your setup first without a capacitor to see if you even need one. If you do decide to install one, putting it in the main power wire is fine. A seperate one for each amp is unnecessary.

Actually you'll be just fine with that 4 gauge lead off the battery running to a fused distribution block in your trunk. Your honestly not running enough to warrant a 1/O cable, unless you want to. But just don't think you don't 'have to' because it would be overkill.

Just get a "fused" distribution block like Farkey said. Run your 4 gauge to that and split it into to 6 or 8 gauge cables, then run those to your amps and you'll be just fine. Just make sure you get a fused block
