WOW my system rocks now!!!!
Updating the audio on the s2000 is a must i tell you!!!!!
I transplanted the Kenwood 6011 from my wife's maxima over the w/e and used it as a doner for the stook. Then i did some research for over a month about the best bang(bass) for the buck component set that i could find. I wound up going with the Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 6 1/2's ($269+shipping). Then i went out and got a Rockford Fostgate 360a2 to push it ($275+wiring kit $35). I purchased the speakers from a wholesale co on Ebay. Got the Amp locally. Wow, what can i say. The install went without a hitch. installed the speakers by removing the panels and routing new 16g wire through the stock spools in the doors. Routed tha Amp power wire through the passenger side of the firewall on the lower of the two spools that run by the battery. One warning about the Kappa's though, the high's are a little too high. I'm going to open the door panels over the w/e to tone down the crossovers. The bass is rediculous though. My friend had to physically check the trunk 'cause he couldn't believe that i didn't have subwoofers. As much as i love the setup, i do wish Infinity made a 3pc component set. I feel like i have adequate bass and adequate highs, but i'm still longing for mids. Who knows, i may get a passive eq to balance it out. Maybe one of you reading this can give me some pointers or advice about extracting some mids from my setup. Anyways, upgrade your sounds soon!!!!

Hi there, I noticed you problem with the Midbass....
I hear ya! I compete for SQ and I have an EQ for my fronts (Phoenix Gold EQ-215) and an Audio Controls EQL for my rears.
I have lost some points for my lack of midbass and it is quite a problem, I talked to Infinity Tech's and they said if you are running a LOT of power (like at least 100 RMS) to them then you can boost the lower freq's to improve their performance. they designed them with a underpowering yahoo's in mind when they rated their specs and designed the x-overs to protect them for their owners.
I have boosted as much as 3 dB starting at 63Hz and up around 200 Hz if I recall and it quite dramatically improved their midbass. But becareful, you might not get them as loud but the RTA will be alot cleaner.

Well, the brand new Infinity Kappa line (the 50.3 and the 60.3) component sets really rock! They cost less and to the avarage person you will not hear a huge difference between them and the Perfects. The kappa's hit a little harder for midrange bass if you are not running alot of power to them.
