Tweeters behind headrest
I am about to install a pair of Polk dx3000's behind the headrest, due to the fact I don't want to flush mount up front and they looke hideous surface mounted up there. The obvious problem is that they are just tweeters, so the "midrange/woofer" is up front in OEM location, with the tweeters behind the rests. The OEM speakers will still be full range (passive crossover to tweeter), but I'm wondering if this will still sound strange, unclear, etc. Anyone ever try this? I'm not looking for perfect sound, just better than OEM.
Another question: Is it easy to run speaker wire to the rear? Does carpet/trim come up easy?
I appreciate any help from you guys. There's obviously enough experience here.
