XM Commander is one of the FM modulator/RCA input add on units that's currently being sold. the XM receiver for the XM Commander is supposed to be the receiver the new Alpine generic kits will use.

thx guys for your input. i got it installed yesterday--actually quite simple--using a PIE aux adapter and GLI. I'll get some pics today and post for yall. Not sure where I'm going to mount the Commander head unit yet. I'll just leave it floating for the time being unless someone has ideas. The only negative so far has been XM transferring the service from my old SkyFi to the Commander. 24 hours to transfer--not good, whereas new subscribers have a 45-minute window.

I've had this car one week now, and what started out as being a fun 2nd car, is quickly becoming an everyday ride--i dig this car!

Well, here are some pics of how I did my SkiFi install. Does the Commander have the same kind of mounting slot on the back? If so, this might work for you as well...
