XM radio!
From my point of view...
If it has commercials, the service should be FREE.
If I'm paying $9.95 per month, it better not have any commercials, anywhere. "30 of 100 stations" with no commercials is not good enough for me.

Do you pay for cable or DirecTV? Both are full of commercials.

XM programming on the other hand doesn't appear to be all that different from ordinary radio broadcasting. It comes in greater quantity, but not necessarily greater quality. (I'm not talking about sound quality, only programming selection). If I want music with commercials, I can get it for free already. If I want hi fi music without commercials, I can play my CDs and MP3s. All I'm saying is that XM is not filling any niche for me.
I don't have a problem with discussing XM radio (or any other, for that matter), but this is a DEFINITE plug for a company wishing to gain business by running an ad...unless Cellcom is sponsoring this board, this thread should be locked, blownnsx, should be given his standard warning, and if these ads continue to appear, his membership revoked.
Mindcore, lock this, please...if people want to start a new thread discussing the pros/cons of XM, great, I'll participate, but everyone knows the rules, and people STILL think they can slide a few past us.

Well, I just got my XM system installed last night. It sounds AWESOME. The clarity is better than I expected. I haven't been able to tell the difference between my CD's and the XM stations. The weather here was rainy, foggy, and just plain crappy last night, and my reception was perfect all night. The system box was installed behind the passenger seat and we put the modulator behind the flip down face of the radio cover, so when the cover is closed the control is hidden. It fits in there nicely. The trunk mount antenna was my choice over the windshield mount one. The windshield mount antenna was about the length of a remote control and a few inches thick. I think it would have looked a big strange. The trunk mount antenna is about the size of a cell phone, and maybe a inch or two taller. I couldn't get a camera last night, but I will try to get it today and get some pictures up.
