XTA480.4 Amp Install Pics?
Hey guys, I'm considering getting one of these amps (the XTA480.4), they look pretty good and the reviews I've read have been good. My speakers: Polk db6500 and db5250 (SPOD setup). My Headunit: Kenwood KDC-MP425
I also plan on getting an Infinity Basslink which I've seen pictures that it fits in the passenger side of the trunk pretty well.
I'm planning on mounting the XTA480.4 amp on a board vertically to the left of the spare tire area, but it's length will be cutting it close to the trunk lid bar unless I take the spare tire cover off which I'd rather not do. So I'd like to see some pictures of how you guys have this amp setup.
The speakers sound pretty good but when I turn the volume up there's quite a bit of distortion. I think the amp should help quite a bit, but I also noticed that I think the crossovers that come with these speakers send too much treble to the woofers, so I may be looking at some adjustable crossovers too if anybody has some recomendations for a cheap crossover.
Thanks,
-Doug
