06+ Modern flash engine management for the S ?
Hondata seems like its not developing the flashpro for more modern solutions(mobile app/digital dash app/etc.)
I contacted LHT and was surprised to find they are no longer selling Flashpro.
Kind of makes me think the flashpro has been put out to pasture, and nothing aside from full standalone is being offered to take its place.
I’ve done standalone before, i purposely bought an 06 so i didnt have to deal with standalone.
I dont want to invest in a product that is at its end of life.
Also I know the RPM act scared most tuning developers, so thats not helping fuel innovation elsewhere.
Aside from Flashpro, or full standalone, is anyone aware or have experience with any other flash based engine management for the S in 2022?

Our 2006 cars are 16 years old. Newer cars including Hondas now have the ECUs controlling lots more stuff. With my Ford SUV I can change the dash display, activate DRLs, change the turn signal lane change flash count, and many other items but I don't think the S2000 has the necessary "modules" for the ECU to control this kind of stuff.
All I wanted was more flexible power which FlashPro provides. Transforms the car.
I'm more than pleased with my FlashPro tuned 2006 car. Just dropping the VTEC to 3600rpm makes the car a joy to drive without all the gear changes to stay in VTEC. Only hardware required for this is a high flow catalytic converter. Minor tuning increased the rev limiter to 8400. If you're familiar with electronic tuning you'll be right at home.
Tuning for me was a "one and done" project 7 years ago. FlashPro just sits back in the box in my parts drawer.

Dear bro,
Flashpro is well worth the money for a 2006+ s2000. My 2007 is turbocharged, has boost by gear (I sent my ecu for the upgrade when they were still offering it) and I can also run flex fuel by using an auxiliary input that is not used on the 2006 - its very potent in terms of control for a factory solution where AC, TSC and cruise control are all still functional (which were a big deal to me).
The car was running an INFINITY before with some BS harness before SOS released all of their wonderful solutions. The wonderful solutions costs add the hell up when everything is said and done and yes you will have more control over what your engine is doing. The car was running 2 ECUs and it was a cluster ph*ck - it was not worth it at the time to sort all of this out.
Upon reverting back to the factory setup and investing in the hondata - it provides more than enough for what i want the car to do. If you can find a used one for sale - they pop up once in a while. FYI all of the newer FK8's use the exact OBD flashing dongle setup for their more sophisticated ECUs - so I don't think its at the "end of its life" - they are just not producing as many because of the age and number of s2000s on the roads these days. Call them up for yourself and talk to them - they are very nice people.
Just my two cents man.

Just tried to run the 7-year old Hondata "app" on my iPhone -- and it's not working and no longer available.
There's a new $15 version which I did not download.
There was a lot of real time information available in the original app and the new seems to have an astounding amount of data available. Strap an iPad to the dash and get lots of information in real time.

The Hondata app is pretty good. It has a good reading for just about every sensor the car comes wtih.
I'm surprised to learn they stopped selling FlashPro. I already have it but was actually considering sending my ECU in this winter to get modded for boost. I don't have boost or have an active plan to get it. I'd just like to be set up for it should I decide to in the future. I'm also getting to the point where the next step in the mod path would probably be power.

for the bluetooth I actually use the Torque app and it works with the flashpro, you just have to set it as a device and it'll connect with all the gauges you want.

Appreciate all the feedback and valid points.
I looked into K Tuner a bit, their V2 seems to offer more of what I wanted, and its about the same $ as FlashPro.
Im inclined to go with FlashPro as the local tuner (2 hour drive) I want to use has loads of experience with Hondata and none with K Tuner, and id need to travel 4+ hours to get to a dyno and tuner that does have experience on ktuner.
Didnt find alot of info here on anyone running K Tuner.
I dont want to start a separate thread for KTuner vs FlashPro , but Is anyone else running or has first hand experience with an s2000 on Ktuner?
