Default AEM 1012 Inquiry

I PM'ed someone about there AEM EMS that they were selling because they had included a blue harness with the kit. Under my assumption, this was just an extension harness. Is this NEEDED to install an AEM 1012?

Here is a link to the pic.

Another thing also, to mount the AEM 1012, am I going to have any fitment issues? Haven't found any pics for the EMS installed. Any feedback is great, thanks.

BTW, all I have for my AEM 1012 is the box itself and the serial cable for hooking it up. Anything else needed?

That picture is a 1052, FYI.

From what I've read on this forum, the 1012 won't fit without some modification. The modification didn't sound too tough to do. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...post&p=11853019

Correct, that's a 1052... Just using that as an example to show the harness which I'm referring to. Do I need that harness to hook up the 1012 to the car?

Nope, you don't, if you modify the OEM brackets. However, if attempting to mount it under the seat, you'll need the extender harness.

Benihana, I just realized which extension harness you were referring to.

The one in Khronikal's ad is definitely not necessary. I really have no idea when that would even be useful. The extension harness I was thinking you were referring to is several feet long. The long one would be used to install the 1012 under your seat or in the passenger-side footwell.

Appreciate the responses! Yea I ended up finding out it's just plug up and go, but it's a tight squeeze.
