Default Problem Starting Car After Flashing ECU with FP

Hello everyone. I am having some issue starting the car. I'm not sure what is happening. I have flash the ecu many times without any problem. Tonight I was out tuning my a/f. Went to a parking lot so I can upload the map to the ecu. Have done this many times.

I turned off the car, turn the key on and upload the map. Wait until it finish. After it finish I went to turn on the car and nothing. It cranks and cranks.

I glance over at the software and saw that the ECU has an X on it. I also notice the green key symbol on the gauge was blinking and blinking. Which tells me that its something to do with the immobilizer. How can that happen?

I tried to flash it back to stock but can't due to it not able to communicate with the ecu.

I checked the fuses and all seem to be okay. I pulled the negative battery and still it didn't work. I then went home and got my spare keys and tried that. Nope didn't work. I check the battery voltage and it has 12.5 volts. I even tried to put a jump on it and no go.

The one thing I notice is that when I turn the key to the on position, I can hear rapid clicks coming from the gauge area.

I have exhausted all I can think of.

What is my next step. The car is currently back in the garage after towing it home.

Can the ECU go bad? hopefully someone know something. If nothing else then Monday will be towing it to honda. Do you think they will know I flash the ECU?

What version of FlashPro Manager are you running?

I had issues like this occasionally with early versions, but the newer software and firmware seems to have fixed it. When it did happen, I just had to get out the laptop, and use it to do a "Return To Stock". I've always made sure to have a laptop and cable with me if I ever flash a new calibration away from home.

I'm running the 1.1.5.6

anyways, I'll give it another shot it later .

Anymore suggestion?

Are you able to see any of the OBDII data from your ECU in FPM, or are you able to capture a datalog while you are trying to start it?

Unplug everything, turn the key off, reboot the laptop and then plug it all back in and try again.

i'll give it a try in a bit. From what I remember, the laptop see the flashpro and OBD port just fine. Its the ECU that flashpro manager can't see.

I did however notice last night when I brought my flashpro up to my desktop computer and looked at the Flashpro--Calibrations

The primary one, I hit the download and it says the map was corrupted. I read gernby post over on hondata. I'll try and upload a secondary map and try to flash it with just the flashpro connected to the car instead of through the laptop.

I'll try and do a datalog when trying to start as well.

The other question I have is, why would the green key light keeps on blinking? did you notice that when it happen to you gernby?

went out and tried what you guys suggest and its a no go.

i tried uninstalling and reinstalling everything.

flashpro manager the ecu on the bottom has an X on it so its not getting any info to the ECU at all.

The green key light keeps blinking. I'm thinking it has something to do with the immobilizer. Would flashpro overwrite it or something?

anyways...anymore suggestion?

i even tried to upload it by the flashpro by itself. When i hit the program, the program light doesn't light up.

Anyways...i'm at lost and would really need some help. thanks.

Have you contacted Hondata, or posted on their forum?
