So i wanna make my car a little faster this summer and i already have a k&n fipk intake and a berk 3in header back exhaust. I was wondering if i would make more power just getting an aem ems 2 or a berk hpc header and tune with vafc2. Also my s2k is an 04.

 

What are your plans for your car, power goals now and later?

 

I would like to get an sos supercharger kit sometime in the future but it wont happen anytime soon. With bolt ons and tune i would like to be making about 220whp

 

chances are on an 04 you will need to add fuel with those mods and a vafc cant do that alone, that is my thinking

 

This is a very fair estimate based on my experience.

No brainer the EMS will offer you more power potential then replacing a header that is arguably just as good as the replacement in question (just heavier). Plus you can use the EMS for FI later. It’s a sound investment. The other option isnt and its far more limited. The header is the last thing you should be worried about replacing on this car. Many of us SC guys have made over 400whp with OEM, it’s a good well rounded header. Peak power isnt everything anyway.
