Default AEM EMS 2 - Wideband some basic infos please

I just bought an AEM EMS 2 (P/N 30-6052) for my 2004 EDM S2k with F20c. I want to do an etune in future. What i need to know, do i need to buy an external wideband/gauge as well or can the car be etuned just with the AEM EMS. I am a bit confused, is there a wideband built into the EMS? And also can the Stock O2 Sensor be used or do i need to swap it with an AEM UEGO for example?

Next thing is, once i get the Base Map from the tuner to start up, i load up the map..just do the basic calibrations like explained in the factory manual and everythings works from the start? Thanks for your input guys!

A WBO2 will replace the stock O2's and you can de-pin the stock sensor at the ECU connector and run the WBO2 into there. You can remove the stock O2's (both) entirely.

If you're doing an E-tune, the base map should not require YOU to do anything other than loading it up on the EMS. The tuner gets paid for that part.

OK Thanks for your input, so i'll get a WB then and swap its sensor with the stock one using the stock wire to the ecu.
Any thougths about AEM UEGO 30-4100

Read this. It shows exactly how to wire the O2 sensor. Don't do any wiring without reading this first.

I just ordered the new AEM 30-4110 wideband O2. It replaces the 30-4100. MAPerformance has it for a great price, but it's not shipping yet. The previous 30-4100 model has been discontinued (not surprising, it's been around for around for over a decade- I have one of the original ones in my Monte Carlo).

I am currently running a PLX SM-AFR and DM-6. They're awesome with the KPro III because of the combination of analog and digital inputs, but I can't read the OLED in direct sunlight with the top down. This is not normally a problem during the day (sun from above), but if I'm driving West in the morning or East during the evening, the gauge will wash out. Unfortunately, that happens to coincide with my daily commute and primary tuning time...
