AEM UEGO questions
So there are 2 types of AEM EMS's:
you got the regular and the UEGO wideband.
What is the actual difference, and if it's not obvious what are the Pros/cons to the UEGO?
I tried searching but I came up with nothing.
P.S. Where would the cheapest and most trusted place/site for getting them be?
Thanks

It's not absolutely necessary. But, it is my understand the UEGO is the only thing that can make any kind of minor adjustments depending on what it is reading. The EMS doesn't learn or adjust.
The UEGO option is simply a wideband oxygen sensor - useful for tuning and for knowing your AFR's. It does the same job your tuner's 'O2 sniffer' does, only it's hardwired in. The UEGO is more expensive, but it would pretty much work out the same if you were to buy a wideband O2 controller separately.
Yes, it scales but it scales on numbers you provide. It doesn't continually adjust the scales (i.e. it has no ability to learn). It's an open loop controller without the UEGO option. The UEGO option runs Closed Loop and can make corrections to maintain a target A/F ratio.
