Default AEM EMS help

I've been searching and reading about the AEM EMS 1050 and V2 and I just been wondering if it's even worth it to get one. I couldent find to much information on here. I currently have Buddy Club Header,Berk 70mm test pipe,Greddy Ti-C exhaust, and AEM V2 intake. The car runs great with these mods and i can definitely feel the difference, since i cant get flashpro and don't want to get kpro and having to hassle with all those extra parts to get, I've been looking into the AEM EMS and I just wanted to know is a tune going to make a big difference with these mods. I want to go with N/A route for a while, my goal is around 250-260whp but spending 1000-1500$ on a ECU seems a lot but i just want to know what route would be the best for na and which ecu to go with. I would like to get more input on the benefits of an aftermarket EMS and what to expect.

Thank you

Forgot to mention i have an 2004 AP2.

You should see great gains with the mods you have.

I've heard reports of people pulling another 5-10hp up top and about 5hp everywhere else with a MINT tune of AEM on stock s2k. Stock motor puts what, 240 to the crank. So whats that to the wheel? 200-210? Assuming that your exhaust is doing a better job than stock, I doubt you'll free up another 40-50hp to the wheel with a couple bolt-ons and a tune (add another $500ish). Personally, I would have kept the car stock.

I guarantee you, that you'll gain more than 5hp in the midrange with those mods.

Im in the same boat with you, I have an AP1 with full bolt ons and im tuned with a vafc. I want to upgrade to aem ems, but not sure if ill see any good gains with just bolt ons. I may be going with a turbo at some point here so I figure why not get an aem ems now and see what I make with bolt ons.

230whp is about the max you will see. 250-260whp is getting into ITB territory pretty much.
