AEM EMS rev limiter
Using a Series 2, I initially set it up with ignition cut 100 rpm before fuel cut.
This caused a nasty backfire at rev limit, which destroyed my cat-conv likely due to unburned fuel igniting in the cat.
I changed it to include a retard limit rev first, 100 rpm later fuel cut, 100 rpm later ignition cut and also used the Rev Limit Wizard to set it to Level 1-Medium Cut.
Now the rev limit is very soft with no backfires.

I was using the ignition cut and fuel cut 200rpm's later but now have an ap2 engine so I'm finding myself hitting my 8300rpm rev limiter more.
The problem is in corners on the track if I hit its upsetting the car, I figure I maybe hitting fuel cut?
I tried to set a limiter with retard timing and it seems like it maybe the solution, I guess it just pulls timing and creates a lot of unburtn fuel / heat in the exhuast?
Is it worth messing with the rev limiter wizard to change the limiter from soft > hard?
