Default AEM EMS V2 startup issue

First off I am fairly new to AEM so bare with me...

I have the car running pretty good aside from initial startup. The car cranks a bunch of times before it will fire. When it starts up it runs great.. what would I need to change to address this problem?

Running the stock 04 AP2 map on a stock car.. just getting the hang of things. Took 5% out of the entire map to conpensate for the slightly smaller motor.

I wrote a thread specifically about aem start up tuning its a little out of date but you'll get the idea

I am still learning and tweaking it myself, but I think I hit a wall as far as improving. I hear from experienced tuners that a difficult cold start is normal. I can start the car in one try everytime after sitting overnight but it still requires substantially more than stock cranking.

I want to see how fast other people have gotten their cold starts with the ems. I don't know very many people with the aem though.

I heard that this was more of a problem with the 1052.. this is one of the reasons I went with the Series 2.

Whats is your voltage reading at startup. My car had a messed up main relay and I was only getting 9.2-9.8V during cranking.

Those coils dident even want to work at that voltage level...

Between 10.5 and 11v
I'm sure its not an issue for me because the car eventualy starts if I keep cranking and the voltage will drop further under continuous cranking. My battery is strong.
David suggested to me that I play with battery offset table, so I'm going to try that.

When I start my car I have to let the fuel pump finish priming to start the car right away. If I try to start the car before the pump is done priming it will crank forever (4-5 seconds) then start.

I always let the fuel pump prime before starting. I even programmed so that it primes a little extra. I hear it prime then I push the start button immediately after.

I thnk I found the solution though. I added up all the different fuel trims (based on coolant temp) at different temperatures and compared them on paper. I have Huge swings between 20c and 60c...like +13% at 20c and -3% at 60c. The warm up enrichment accounted for most of this swing so I flattened the curve out a bit and things radically improved.

It makes sense that my car starts so easily when warm. Yet its got too much fuel when cold and when I lower the fuel I lose the good warm start
