Default AEM Tuner 3.2 on Windows 8 Parallels

I hate Windows.

I'm running Windows 8 on Parallels 9 and can't open AEM tuner (version 3.2).

I get an error message saying-

-------------------------------------------------------

AEMTuner does not have sufficient privileges to run

Please close AEMTuner and do the following:

1. Go to 'user account control setting's' and set to 'Never Notify'.

2. Restart running as 'Administrator'.

--------------------------------------------------------

I'm logged on as the administrator and I've set account control settings to never notify. I uninstalled and reinstalled AEMT.

I feel like you have to be a MS Software Engineer to casually use Windows.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

to run as Administrator, means, do not click on the Application icon to start it, instead, to right click on the applications icon an select Run as Administrator in that drop menu and start it that way

Exactly as Ruu said, it's a common error with Win7/8. But just to chime in Mac isn't no picnic either with their verify/fix permissions deal.

If that doesnt work find root folder and set permissions there to everyone. Let us know if your still having problems and i can walk you through it.

In the future, you can right click on the .exe or shortcut, go to Properties, then Compatibility, and check "Run this program as an Administrator" at the bottom. That way you won't have to right-click on the shortcut every time you open AEMTuner.
