you should drive on your stock ecu until you get it tuned. unlike hondata, i dont think the basemaps are very good because there's so many parameters that need to be set.
it takes 2-3hrs for a tuner to make a basemap from scratch on a regular car with bolt ons. i would say 3 to be safe.

With the mods OP has it's not going to hurt the car to leave the stock ecu in. I just called a tuner listed on aems certified tuner thread.
They want $600 (3-4hrs) for a full tuning session for the giggles. Sounds pricey :/

It won't even try to start
Once you get it started you have to change more things to get it to actually idle.
Their are parameters with zero values(WTF AEM)
The fuel map is WAY to rich and the timing map looks to be very conservative.
These are some of the problems that I've over come so far. I still have more to sort out.
Would you like to contribute your knowledge/experience to my cold start refining thread? Maybe there was things I missed..i think i need to update a few things as i have spent almost every morning and night refining the cold start settings since i got the EMS to get my car to fire up 'like stock'
My optimum startup settings are far different than what everyone told me it should be. Everyone told me 4 to 5x the idle pulse in the cranking phase at 60 celsius..it was the richness that was making my car so hard to start. My 10 degrees cranking startup is maybe 2x the idle amount. Maybe the s2k isn't so dirty afterall.
I just looked at the base cal right now. rpm offset vs tps table is zeroed out. without that table setup, your idle control will be fighting against you when feathering the throttle (like letting the clutch out to make the car move) that is the table that overrides the target idle control for this specific situation.
i don't have a stock head, but this map seems WAY richer than mine in the startup area. i believe it may start a car that is warmed up, like the aem ecu swap is commenced when the car just rolled into the service bay. a car sitting overnight, i dont think this will start it.

I just installed and started tuning my V2. If you're a noob don't even try, you'll quickly be overwhelmed. Why shouldn't you?
