My CEL is not fixed. If I don't hit VTEC at partial throttle, the cell wont' come on. It seems to pop up if I cross into VTEC under part throttle.

????
What code are you getting? Has your O2 sensor been replaced?

I'm getting P2A00. The 02 has not been replaced.

Don't you think that is the next step?

does your state require obd readiness for inspection? If it does how does your car see the rear o2 as per readiness state. N/A, inc or complete. In N.Y. we have a plug in inspection and i have a flash pro on the way i plan to use this feature just wanted to know if ill pass.
We have the same thing, I'm guessing I'd have to put it back to the return to stock map and drive it around for 40 or so miles(not sure how many miles is needed) before I could get the smog done.

I would get it replaced, my car ran much better after I replaced it. I was starting getting these weird lags in power and I thought it was due to the tune so I went back to the return to stock tune and still got them. I replaced the sensor and now the car runs great with no weird issues.

[QUOTE=gernby,Mar 17 2010, 09:13 AM] ^ You really should have datalogged it immediately after flashing the new tune to make sure things were okay before doing a lot of driving.

I've had the same CEL come up in my S2000 and we confirmed today that it was due to a bad Primary o2 Sensor.

Just FYI, Honda has a TSB out for this code.

January 27, 2007

MIL Is On With DTC P1172 or P2AOO

SYMPTOM

The MIL is on with PGM-FI DTC P1172 (air fuel sensor [sensor 1] circuit out of range, high) and/or P2A00 (air fuel sensor [sensor 1] circuit range/performance problem).

PROBABLE CAUSE

The air/fuel sensor is damaged by moisture in the exhaust system during engine warm up.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Use the HDS to update the ECM/PCM PGM-FI software. Replace the air/fuel sensor.

PARTS INFORMATION

Air/Fuel Sensor:

S2000:P/N 36531-PZX-003, H/C 8199630

Mine has been throwing that code quite a bit lately, random reasons... took it to my Honda shop today and they are replacing it tomorrow.
Another testimony here ... Had the same issue shortly after I reflashed (code P2A00). I replaced to the new/updated part under warranty, now the car runs great. This time, there is a noticeable power increase when re-flashed vs before the primary o2 was replaced.

Matt, I told you to get this replaced! You will be very happy when you do

After going through the manual in detail it is very apparent that a decent working o2 sensor is important for this car. Even during WOT it is check a/f and making adjustments!

If you look at the FlashPro datalogs, you'll see that the ECU does go into open loop at WOT (Fuel Status = 4). There are no short term fuel trims during open loop, so only the long term fuel trims are applied.

What about the :

[QUOTE]WOT lambda adjustment tables

WOT (wide open throttle) tables are used by the ECU to add fuel under high load conditions.
