Interesting...

The TSB it says the fix is to replace the part if it was damaged--if it was damaged--then reflash the ECU to make it not happen again. If it's not broken, it might or might not be worn--I don't know if the moisture penetration is a progressive event or not. You could probably ask for the reflash based on the TSB, but if indeed it is an O2 sensor updated for this issue instead of just a different batch or model of the same thing...

And if we get this reflash update from Honda, can we somehow record it and send it to Hondata so they can see the difference and can incorporate it into the maps in a future release?

Mine was the same. My guess is there are several vendors.

Mine was a Denso and I think that's what Honda uses right? Maybe you didn't get the updated one.

Well, after continuing to iterate on the tuning, my CEL disappeared today. We'll see if it was a temporary thing or if it comes back.

I had a CEL for a few days when I first installed the CAI as well, so it's possible they're related.

Love the flashpro!

Based off how the ecu works it checks for the cat working during cruising conditions.
This may or may not be related to this but if you have allot of short term trimming going on you need to adjust closed loop fueling to be closer to what the ecu is looking for.

This happens with the "return to stock tune" as well.
I'm guessing the newer maps didn't work well with the older AF sensor or maybe they just had a bad batch. Whatever the case may be, if you're getting P2A00 then the only fix is to replace the sensor. Nothing tuning wise will fix it.

BTW this issue pertains to the primary O2 not the secondary O2 on the cat.

Agreed, if this happens on a stock tune then you have a bad sensor.

Hi, I have a MY06 and the car isn't under waranty anymore, does honda charges you anything for the switch of O2 sensor? Even if my car isn't under waranty anymore? My car comes from USA but I live in Canada, does it make any difference?

Thanks

scareyourpassenger posted that he thinks the warranty is 8yrs 80 thousand miles so you might be fine. Your best bet is to call the dealer and ask them.
