i just spent 45 minutes to fully read through this thread. I have a 2006 s2000 with 7000 miles. I have an AEM CAI, Invidia Catback, and test pipe. The test pipe was installed, but i kept getting a CEL so i put the cat back on. The test pipe is an invidia TP with the CEL Fix built in.

I was waiting until i got the flashpro to re-install the test pipe so that i could bypass the cat O2 and i was going to load the AEM CAI flash.

Now that i am reading this, i am assuming that i will get the primary O2 CEL once i install the test pipe and install flashpro.

Any suggestions?

sounds like you have the idea. hopefully, get the o2 sensor for free. we haven't really figured out conclusively if it's honda's faulty part or hondata's sensitivity that's more at fault, but something between the two makes many of our primary o2 sensors go out. and not all of them.

the flashpro can give you the codes though, so i don't think you'll have issues with not being able to figure out if the CEL is the test pipe or the AF sensor.

This isn't a good assumption. Not all S2000's are experiencing this problem after using the FlashPro. It may increase the chances of your primary O2 failing, but it isn't a sure thing. I have thousands of miles with a test pipe and FlashPro (all on private roads in Mexico), and haven't had any CEL's related to the primary O2.

Been following this thread for the last few weeks and was worried that my MY07 would start throwing CELs.

Last week I fitted my berk decat before my flash and after about 50 miles I had my first CEL. I reset that and then the next day it was off to the dyno and time to get flashed.

The FP install was a bit more complicated. Seems some monkey in my dealership may have replaced the ECU when I had an alarm problem and the ECU did not have the VIN number. This all meant the FP would not install until this was input. So after a quick trip to the local Honda dealer the FP was installed, the car tuned and the secondary O2 sensor disabled.

So far done about 200 miles plus about ten dyno runs and no CEL.

Happy Days

I haven't had the CEL come back on for over a month now. I wonder if it has anything to do with the warmer weather. Hell if I know.

Winter vs summer gas does make a difference. I thought it switched over earlier than that though.

I'm thinking more about the heating process the O2 sensor goes through.

So, let me get this straight. I've got an 06 with a Greddy 70mm and no warranty (40k miles). I was planning on getting the FP, test pipe, intake, and header. If I want the FP to run without a CEL I'm going to have to get Honda to replace my primary O2 sensor because of a moisture issue? Then once I do that I use FP to disable my secondary O2 sensor and I wont throw a code, correct? It seems like Hondata should be the ones fixing this issue through an update if possible because I can almost guarantee my PITA dealership will not replace my sensor for free. How much does an O2 sensor replacement cost anyway?
