My CEL came on after about 15 min after the FlashPro install. Happened during a partial throttle run in 6th gear into the Vtec window. It went away on its own after turning off the car and a new Map update. Came back 3 starts later (but without the light actually coming on - I saw it in my FP datalog).

It came on at 3700RPM under 0% throttle in 6th after a hard 3rd gear run up to 8300 rpm and then a quick shift to 4th, then to 6th to let the car coast down. AFR was 29 as it was coming down. Maybe the O2 really is screwing up and sending a false number (I see a lot of numbers as high as 29-30 when coasting with no throttle and/or downshifting)

I ordered a new sensor to see if that fixes it. I really don't see this being a mechanical equipment thing though.

What code are you getting? Are you just assuming that it is related to the O2 sensor that's being talked about in this thread?

In the united states there is an emissions warranty. It all depends if Canada has the same rules. Also if you have any safety equipment issues those are lifetime such as a seatbelt.

EPA reference.

My dealer covered it under an extended warranty I had. I was a little frustrated with the $100 copay, especially since I have 42k miles. But OTOH, I do have a CAI, so they could have chosen to be really obnoxious with me.

Anyways, I looked through that reference and it explicity says the items covered for 8/80 are the ECU, the OBD, and the catalytic converter. It says O2 sensors and other things are only covered for 2/24 by the EPA requirements.

But with the TSB, you can probably convince Honda to do it if you talk really nice to them.

People post irrelevant info all the time without knowing it. I just wanted to make sure your info was relevant, since your experience really points the finger at the FlashPro as the culpret pretty hard.

Lucky for you I'm not one of those people I can actually read! (unlike 75% of this board...)

I replaced the O2 sensor with a brand new one. Drove it for 30-40 miles and no P2A00 code on the FP. Performance is no different. Now I'm getting a P0420 Cat System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1) code on the FP but there is NOT a CEL on my dash.

<- Confused.

If you don't have a CEL, then I would guess that the P0420 is just in the history.
