Doesn't the CEL go away after each reflash? This had been happening with my friend's CR (it comes back on after a couple of days though).

With my friend's CR, he took it to Honda and they said they would change his O2 sensor.
Update: The O2 sensor has been changed under warranty on my friend's CR. The dealership said it was the part that heater part that failed. We'll wait and see how the new one works out.

Ok, there is an official TSB for this but I have yet to get my hands on a copy of it.

For those not wanting to take their car to the dealer for certain reasons. The FlashPro has the updated map from Honda in the latest ver. of the FlashPro software.
You can replace the primary O2 and update your map if it isn't already updated.

I don't want to be rude, but does anyone actually take the time to read this thread start to finish?

On January 7th I posted about the TSB for this. On the 8th I had the TSB performed and my primary o2 Sensor replaced. On the 12th I stated that I had driven 80 miles with no CEL. On the 14th I stated 200 miles, no CEL. On the 15th the CEL returned, however later that day I posted that it was a different code, 250 miles down with no CEL.
I'm now at 900 miles since having the CEL cleared & primary o2 Sensor replaced with no return of the light.

Just because someone fails to reconcile several posts from a month ago as all being from the same guy, doesn't mean that person hasn't read the whole thread. I don't read threads from beginning to end multiple times each month.

That said, your experience is helpful, but doesn't explain why it seems like these problems seem much more common amongst FlashPro users. Maybe it's just coincidence, but maybe it isn't.

I've followed this thread through, my friend even took his car back to Honda. I told him about the TSB but I don't think he mentioned it to Honda, they still replaced the part (it's still under warranty anyways). According to the dealership, the part was faulty but I guess some members feel it's not the part, rather it's the reflash, that's causing a false reading and thus a CEL. glagola1 for instance thinks he might have solved his issue by changing some parameters on his tune, if this is the case, there is no need for him to take his car back to replace a perfectly good part.

Thanks for the info though I'm sure some people will find it handy!

On that note, glagola1, any updates on your situation?

I have a cat and a flash pro and I'm on the "return to stock" tune. I still get the cel.

The fix is to just to replace the O2.
