Yes yes I know the whole theory behind the flashpro. It's not rocket science.

What you guys don't seem to be understanding is that hondata told they were available, and that with the SPECIFIC tunes for each kit fine tuning is a hell of a lot easier.

I wouldn't be up in arms about it if the sales person hadn't told me those maps were available. I'm going 12psi vortech with 1000cc ID injectors before the end of the summer, but it would be nice to be able to run the stock kit until I visit Evan without having to mail my Ecu off for no good reason.
Put the smaller pulley and injectors in immediately, and get an e-tune from Evans.

Etune is kind of silly with Jeff in driving distance. I could get the 1000cc injectors running easy enough with the stock pulley and the REAL Vortech tune. Not going to bother with that generic thing. It would have been nice to run the stock pulley for a while before getting tuned to check for boost leaks and what not, but oh well.

I have to have this thing for Jeff to do his, so I'm stuck with it. But so far, I'm not overly impressed with Hondata as a company.

I guess I'm just disappointed that there doesn't seem to be one sales person in the world that knows their product or who won't tell you what they think you want to hear to sale something. Maybe they thought the s2k has a Si motor or something

Too bad Cobb Tuning only bothered to make a Si Access port. I like their solution better. Actually has an LCD screen so you can see info without plugging in a laptop.

So maybe that one salesman was wrong, nothing is going to change, you aren't getting the Vortech map.

And be glad Hondata came out with the FlashPro. Without it, you'd have to stick to a generic reflash tune or use an Emanage Ultimate, for which there are no good tuners around.

I was just reading this again and something struck me as funny. If you have your ecu flashed to say Vortech, then buy a flashpro, can't you just use the flashpro to get that calibration? From there it could be posted and distributed easily.

Even if it doesn't do it as an option, I bet I could figure out a way to get it.

Well, its been fun guys but I'm going to go back to haunting FI and local forums. At this point Hondata is just on my "do not buy" vendor list. Enjoy the money from the flashpro, it's the last you'll ever see of mine.

i understand your frustration with sale person not being educated enough about the product. Look at car saleman, do they really know the car that they are selling?

anyways, you do know that if you download the latest software from them, you can see what calibration is included before you buy?

I'm over it at this point, I was pissed now I'm resigned. I guess all salesmen everywhere are a waste of oxygen.

I'm stuck with it if I want to buy a vortech kit and go 12psi, so it's not like I have a whole lot of choice. I've considered Kraftwerks though. I'm not a big fan of the limitations and price of the Kraftwerks kit but if one came up on the used market in June/july for the right price I'd probably jump on it instead. I DD drive my s2k and don't need to be over 400whp anyway.

I had impression that flashpro does come with pre-calibrated maps for vortech, kraftsworks, sos: the basic tune.
Like kpro.

Supposed not after reading this.
I sent my ecu for kpro few years ago, took over a week. PNF si ecu for K series.

I really enjoyed downtime without a car.
