are you speaking from experience? i know you can use the map as it is programmed on the unit, but i'm not seeing anything that says you can pull the map off
yeah its from experience. i still own a 02 rsx type s with kpro which will be laying around once the car is sold. but its wise jus to have your map saved on your lap top (calibration as kamanger calls it...or cal for short) than to pull the cal off kpro. me personally didnt have very good luck pulling a cal off kpro due to the cal that was on there was loaded with a older version of kmanager that i didnt have.

yeah if you're going to download a map off the actual ecu your best bet is to have the most up to date version of the k-manager software. if not, chances are you can download the map and end up with a corrupted file.

you can download an kal from an ecu and save to your PC's hard drive and share with folks.

however, files can be locked via password so that you can not pull off an ecu.

you can download kmanager for free and view various kal files to see how the software works...

in the bar on the top of kmanager click online>tools>and download.

and you can "protect" the ecu but as kmanager say in the contents it just locks the map from being downloaded back and it cant be read or a new cal cant be uploaded. until you erase the ecu.
