Default Haltech PNP for Stock AP1 require tuning?

Like the question states, does the Haltech pnp require tuning on a bone stock AP1 if all I want to do with it at the moment is lower the VTEC engagement point?

Yes you need to tune it regardless because all you have is a base map from Haltech which is intended for driving to the tuner.

Lowering VTEC can be done with FlashPro -- and I assume any engine management system -- simply by typing the rpm wanted in a box and uploading the calibration to the ECU. But just doing that doesn't optimize the car's tuning, there's a myriad of other changes needed to take advantage of the lower VTEC engagement point.
