Default Kpro 3 and battery tender

I don't know if discussed before, but I can't find the search option.

I'm about to install the noco genious g1100 wires to my battery and leave the tender running during winter. I'm running Kpro 3 on 01 AP1 no electronic mods, Can I attach the tender without damaging the ECU? Or do I have to remove the battery cables and then keep the tender on the battery by itself?

This will cause the the same damage your alternator/rectifier cause if you don't disconnect the battery...

True. I was more worried about the difference on how the alternator charges vs the tender (4 step charging, battery diagnostic, etc). I know the amp output rating from the tender its way below the alternator output. I just wanted some experiances before I mess something up. I knew it was probably ok, but its better safe than sorry.. Thanks for the reply Chuck.
