HKS supercharger AFR
Evening all,
Well after finally fitting everything for my HKS supercharger kit i took it out for a spin with the following fueling mods
- genuine walbro 255lph pump
- deatschwerks 600cc injectors
- AEM EMS V2
- PLX wideband connected to the AEM with O2 feedback enable for low throttle positions
I'm running conservative ignition timing
at 10.8 psi load cell at 8500rpm which is my limiter im running 19.2 degrees of ignition advance which seems about right for a supercharged car with low amounts of boost. I have seen no more knock volts than what i saw when the car was in its NA form. I think at max 1.2v and no spikes
Im gradually sorting out the fuel map under boost and the vacuum map is already done from before i fitted the supercharger.
I have set my target for wide open throttle at 10psi at around 11.5afr but im wondering if this is abit too rich. My previous experience is based on turbocharged cars which seems to like a richer mixture. The main reason i ask is that im on the edge of the injectors duty cycle of 80% and if i have to buy new injectors then i will but if 11.8 to 12 AFR is okay then i will spend the money elsewhere namely a AEM map sensor.
