I was about to order a FP and I was wondering how many peoples 06's have thrown a CEL from their o2 sensor? I read a bit of info about it a few months ago but, if I do get a CEL what's the Honda part number for the correct o2 sensor? Would I still buy a 2006 sensor or would I buy a new version?

 

you can turn it off on flashpro. no worries

 

i think he is talking about the primary o2 sensor that all the 06 cars were having issues with. there is a TSB for it but since i dont work there anymore i cant look it up for you. maybe someone that still works there can chime in.i have an 08 and have no issues but i think they fixed it by then.

 

I got the CEL maybe 3 times when I first installed flashpro but I just reflashed the ECU and havnt had the problem again for half a year

Yeah this is what I was talking about. I don't have a warranty but, if I need a new primary o2 sensor what's the correct part number? I just didn't know if I would need a newer version to fix it or just another 06. I've got access to a scan tool so I'll know what code it is if it comes up.


Also, where in the program does it allow you to clear a CEL from a test pipe? Or does it just clear when you reflash?

 

I got one one week after Flashpro install, than went away...I may need the new sensor, the car has power train warranty but I am not sure if the sensor qualifies for replacement.

 

I have gone 6 months with no CEL on my 2006.

The CEL doesn't cause the car to go into safe mode does it? And I never got an answer on reseting the CEL with FP. Does it reset when you reflash or is there a separate option you need to setup before you calibrate your reflash?
