Yes the Bosch sensor should be very reliable, I'm more skeptical about the PLX parts.
I got a PLX wideband myself though but I'm going to keep using the oem sensor for closed loop.
Keeping the stock sensor plugged up while not in use might be pretty bad for the sensor, you should ask Hondata about that.
Don't want to switch it on when you really need it just to find out it's gone bad.

I hear you but its fairly common to do. I have done it for years with my trackbike. With Bazzaz we only run the wideband when logging for weather changes. The key is regular maintenance checks and replacement.
