Kpro - vtec setting for turbo, log manifold
My setup has a turbo with log manifold. Just wondering how to set vtec. Currently I have it set as follows:
Lower boundary - 6500rpm, 100kPa
Upper boundary - 6700rpm, 30kPa
As soon as I hit vtec, it sputters and I loose power. As if I'm bouncing off a rev limiter.
I'm using NGK BKR7EIX (Iridium, one step colder ***Edit*** that is stock heat range) spark plugs and gapped them down to 0.023". My oil pressure is at 90 psi before vtec engagement - good pressure and volume. I use Mobile 1 10W30 oil with Mobile 1 filter. I'm in the process of adjusting my fuel maps and right now it's rich in high speed - recently installed ID1000s and FB340lph fuel pump.
I'm open to suggestions - I think the solution is in the tune.
Thanks!

A lot of the log manifold turbo dynos I've seen have a bit of a dip when vtec engages. From what I have heard, vtec needs to be raised closer to 7-7.5k to keep the power band linear with a log manifold. Just make sure to adjust the timing accordingly as well.
