Default My 06 ECU has been flashed but now LOST MY Flashpro unit?

So basically I seem to have misplaced my Flashpro unit that plugs under the dash. My car has already been flashed and now I need to return the car to stock.

What do you guys suggest is the best way to bring my ECU back to stock?

Do I have to buy another Flash Pro unit and will it overide the original one that was linked to the car's ECU?

thanks!

I think they only protect the FP boxes.

You should be able to flash the Honda ECU with anything.

The solution would be to find a buddy with another FP, have him unlock it from his car, take it to your car, lock to it, flash the stock map, unlock, take back to his, lock, re-flash his own map back (I think you need to go back to stock to unlock).

if its the OBD connection to the flashpro, can't you just borrow one from another flashpro member?

if you lost the actual flashpro box, then it might be difficult since the ECU is locked directly to that flashpro

Have you tried this before and know it works? I have a 2nd s2000 with another Flashpro (that I didn't lose) so I could do what you are suggesting....neat idea!

There must be a way to gain access to a stock ECU that has been flashed since I can't be the only one who lost his Flashpro unit. I can understand why the Flashpro is locked and useless for the company to sell more products but for the car's factory ECU there must be a way. I prefer to know for certain before trying and damaging something!

thanks guys!

Ideally I'd like to hookup a Flashpro device to the one s2000, copy the program BEFORE I flash it back to stock settings

thanks!

I'm sure it would work fine to use your other FlashPro to revert both S2000's back to stock. There's no reason why Hondata would have put effort into preventing that.

So basically you want to save your map.
You can't do that without your own unit.
The best route to get it would be to contact the tuner and have him send you the file.
You should have got this already because sometimes you need to re-flash it anyway.

As for your other point, no I haven't done that but afik, that's how the system is designed to work.
You can call them to confirm.

I know you're an adult, business owner, and overall smart guy, but I gotta ask...how in the world do you lose a FlashPro unit? There's gotta be an interesting story behind that!

LOL so since when does being an adult make it less likely to forget / lose things? I lost my entire key chain set with lanyard last month and still can't find it. I think I'm more forgetful now than in my younger days....grrrr

Anyways if you see my shop / garages you will understand. Sometimes having more than one garage is definitely a bad thing!
