Thumbs up Need to get a second ECU for the same car

When you have the dealer "pair" up an ECU to the car, do you loose the ability to use the original ECU (without loosing a reflash either)?

Just an example: I have the Hondata Kraftwerks reflash on my factory ECU (2006), I bought a used '07 ECU and want to get it paired by the dealer to my car so I can use that one with Flashpro ... will both ECUs work?

I would drive to the dealer with the KW ECU, then change it in the parking lot for them to pair the new one (which will not be able to start the car due to the injectors probably) and then reinstall the KW ECU ... I just dont want the dealer to mess with the factory ECU and erase my KW retune. It would mean that I have to leave the car there as it would not start anymore.

Thanks, J

I believe you would have issues like here:

Keys and immobilizer won't work on both ECUs. Doesn't the Flashpro have a KW Supercharger program on it?

I know I can have two ECUs running the car. It has been done before down here by a member that got a Kraftwerks kit.

The question, I guess, is whether they can pair both ECUs without deleting my reflash?

I'd bet money that it would be totally fine. You wouldn't be changing the original KW ECU at all, so it shouldn't lose any capabilities.

Anthony,

whats up man!? ... yeah, thats the plan. I have both an AP1 with AEM and KW and mine that I want him to tune.

We just finished a custom pulley for the AP1
