Default NEED HELP STAND ALONE VS PIGGYBACK

Long short story, on my AP2 with only bolt-ons (hondata intake gasket, apexi ws2 exhaust with test pipe & k&n fipk) i want a little bump in power specialy the gain of lower vtec and 7-10 more hp overall. I dont planning other modifs since with my 4.77 gear, more power need to go back to 4.10 gear that i hate so mutch!

I first thing to go with standalone (i think to go with Haltech since Aem Ems as the drawback to be long to start and here in Canada, with winter -35 celcius, stock was limit with the small battery to start on cold morning and Haltech seem better to this point. However, my tuner prefer the Haltech for this reason and others but was very hesitant to recommand me this set-up for cold winter.

His recommandation for this reason and since i dont planning others modifications is to go with Piggyback to keep stock ecu driveability on cold winter, i prefer the Greddy Emanage Ultimate but my tuner dont like it, i said it was to limiting on parameters, as what i read it was the oposite but it your tuner dont like it, change option! His recommandation is the Apexi neo but if what i read is ok, it seem that with the Apexi, the stock ecu seem to overcome the piggyback with time and you have to reset it with time. Another point is the wot only gain, i want partial as wot gains.

I find it was very hard to chose the best set-up for this modifications since there hare so many opinions but i want a piggyback that the stock ecu will not overcome, tunable for partial throttle as wot and what is the sweet spot for the vtec on my AP2, another point where i find so many opinions that i ended very confused (i know that the dyno will point the sweet spot but i want opinions from peoples who have or tune piggyback.

My tuner said that oem ecu tolerate approximatelyr 15% variantes before overcome the piggyback and with only bolt-ons, all will work ok without need to constantly have to reset or unplug batterie to avoid this problems but there are so many treads that i was confused!

If piggyback is really waste of money or it s2ki ecu will overcome it, i will go with Haltech but with my goal to stay with bolt-ons and the cold climate tuning problems, if its good upgrade, i will go with piggyback and save money!

Thank you for you advices and suggestions for best system for my application!
