what is the acceptable range for short term fuel %

You want to tune open loop first. Which ems unit do you have?

I think plus or minus 5% is good enough. Though I generally shoot for 3 or less.

It depends on how effective the open loop tune is, I've seen from -3,3 to -5,10, to -6,10 tons of "if's", but yes -3,3 is really good
