Stock ECU without car and have honda map keys
Hi group,
Background: s2000 w/AEM EMS and a number of other mods, including pully, injectors, and supercharger. I'm putting the car back to semi-stock for OBDII complaince. Stock ECU was sold awhile ago so I had to buy someone else's Stock ECU. I know I have to have Honda map the key to the other person's stock ECU otherwise the immobilizer will stop the car from turning on.
Help me understand: I'm wondering if I can simply bring in the other fellow's ECU, my current honda keys, and the Honda tech can remap the keys to the fellow's ECU. As I have an AEM EMS and a number of other modifications, I'm unable to safely start the car on the stock ECU so I'd have to tow the vehicle back to a repair shop. I desperately want to avoid having pay a considerable sum to tow the car a good distance.

I'm sure it's possible, but I really doubt the dealer would be willing to do it. They would have to rig up a wiring harness just to power on the ECU and connect their programmer.
It seems to me that the best way for you to do it will be to put it back to nearly stock, use the EMS with an NA base map to drive the car to the dealer, then swap in the used ECU for the dealer to program.
