I want to verify the correct way of calibrating a TPS with a standalone EMS (in this case a Haltech Elite 1500). I have been reading other posts about calibrating the TPS and the general consensus seems to be that the TPS should read 6% throttle (0.3V) at idle with the throttle plate fully closed and 90% (4.5V) fully opened.
I have a 70mm Ballade Sport throttle body so the volts will probably need to be lower by 0.03V, but I just used OEM specs for the sake of simplicity. When I use the calibration wizard in Haltech's NSP software, it sets the throttle % to 0% at 0.3V and 100% at 4.5V.
Should I have my ems replicate the OEM throttle percentage scale or should it read 0% throttle at 0.3V and 100% throttle at 4.5V?
What do you all think? Option A or Option B? Thanks in advance!
