Default TPS/Tplate tuning

So during logs I've noticed my tpedal and tplate being entirely different values. Any reason for this? Is the throttle plate independant of other maps? How do I go about adjusting to make them either equal, or at least parallel so they scale equally?

Thanks

Yea I have updated, but then again maybe the datalog I'm looking at was pre-update. If that's the case, then I'm going to feel really stupid LOL

Is this just an OCD kind of thing about the values not matching up on the datalogs, or do you actually want to change the behavior of your throttle? If it's the latter, then I suggest that you take a look at the "Target Throttle Plate" map that is under the "Throttle" category in the Calibration. The default map is a 1:1 ratio of pedal position to throttle plate, but it doesn't actually work out quite that way as you've noticed.

However, there are reasons why you might want to alter the mapping in order to change the way the car drives. For example, if you want to make the pedal more or less sensitive, you can tune it to your liking. You can make the throttle curve logrithmic for a more sporty / responsive feel, or you could give it an exponential curve to make it feel a bit more numb at part throttle. You could also limit the max throtlte opening so that your teenage brother or valet can't abuse it.

I recently altered this table so that I could create 3 "zones" of throttle levels to aid with part throttle tuning. It worked VERY well for tuning, but was a bit awkward to drive.
