Default FlashPro - Throttle pedal position

Noticed when looking at the datalogs that my throttle pedal position at WOT is only 92%, not 100%. Is that common, and can/should I change it?

Throttle plate goes up just past 100%, so maybe that's all that matters. It just seems a bit odd.

And yes, it's pig rich in this part of the log, though 12.5:1 is what it's been running generally... I've got work to do. I'm also at 4500 ft altitude, so I wonder if that makes things different for me.

Read the help file in the hondata program. They're trying to address this and might have already with the new update.

I looked at the descriptions after using the help file search, but I couldn't find enough detail to tell what the two (pedal position vs plate position) meant any more than what the names seem to imply. Maybe I just need to dig through it some more. And I just got the software yesterday, so it should be current, and I'll have to keep looking for new releases.

Yeah, that's exactly what my first thought was! Obviously not, but the nomenclature sure does make it sound that way.

It makes me curious as to what the sensor reading is really saying though. It looks like throttle plate position shows pedal position with respect to WOT, but even if so, what is pedal position there for?

It looked like the kind of question that would have a quick answer, so after searching hondata's help quickly and searching s2ki with no results I just figured I'd ask. I'll post up if I find more of the answer.

Ok, so it's a bug.

The latest release right now is 1.1.3.4, from 1/15/10, but they have a beta of 1.1.4.5 dated 3/2/10. I'll either update to the beta or wait and forget about it.

I strongly urge you to stick with the "production" releases of FlashPro manager, and let other people test the beta versions. Hondata doesn't seem to have much of a testing team, and have let some really scary software bugs pass through. As a novice tuner, I could easily have blown my motor with 1.1.2.6.

Thanks for the warning!

I haven't learned much about FlashProManager yet, so I was thinking I would want to play it safe until I at least know what I'm doing. It seems like a great product for $700 though!
