Default Using the RSX wideband with the Kpro

Regarding this link from the Forced Induction forums:

JustinC usually has good posts on here and he managed to get the RSX wideband to work with the Kpro. Allowing to keep options like lean cut and keeping the ELD input free. This is great cause we would not need a separate wideband, and we could use the ELD to datalog other things ie additional knock sensor like phormula gizzmo etc. He mentioned the pins to connect to his RSX wideband relay can be obtained on the D connector, and no hacking of the ECU has to be done. Which ones would they be, any specific info on getting this done? If lean cut is already setup in the kpro software, I would like to take advantage of this and use the kpro to the best of its ability!

Cheers,
Joe

Okay, So here is the information everyone has been wanting on this.

You still have to build the harness and add a relay but you don't have to hack up your ECU. The pins are available on the D connector. You can contact hondata about getting pins.

I put the associated pin on the D connector in parentheses.

Here it is just in case you can't read it too clearly on the image:

I wonder why Hondata wouldn't do this themselves.

Thanks Justin for putting this out there

The overhead for parts that they would pass on to the customers would more than likely make an already expensive EMS out of the reach of many. And, if they did it on a case by case basis the cost would likely be even higher. My .02

well, they say its because of cost, but honestly, you either need the rsx wideband or a third party wideband. They cost almost the same and both require a new harness to be ran, I like the RSX wideband b/c of lean protection and the fact it uses the wideband during part throttle as well.

I doubt it, it is a little different in that the ecu uses the current to read a/f instead of the voltage from my understanding.

I picked up a RSX Denso wideband for a great price from this guy, he has a few left.

http://www.k20a.org/forum/showthread.php?t=61779

I rembering reading somewhere that the RSX range cannot read as rich as the AEM or plx widebands. If anyone has ever dataloged lean cut, does it do an adequate job for protection or is there some lag? If there is lag, how much allowance are you guys allowing in the lean protection settings?

I'm exited to run this especially for closed loop, the reaction time on my ELD input makes my closed loop setting run so slow.. so its over compensating all the time. Can't wait
