Default VSS/Speedo settings in AEM ECU?

I have a AP2 car, with an AP1 tranny. The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) reads off the output/countershaft of the tranny if I'm not mistaken.

Because the output/countershaft in the AP1 and AP2 trannys are different, I've just learned that if you put an AP1 tranny in an AP2 car your speedo will read low. And vice versa for putting an AP2 tranny in an AP1 car.

I have an AEM ECU series 2 in the car.

So, my question is does the ECU software have a setting to tell it which tranny is in the car? Or, does it have any type of calibration you can do to make the speedo accurate (like the Yellow Box that's sold).

Thanks!

I think there is some sort of setting to adjust the input sensitivity for the voltage from the VSS?

you can adjust the aem to read correctly, but the ecu does not feed the signal to the dash, that signal comes straight from the sensor.
