Default F20C with Ap2 Ecu?

I recently had an F20c dropped in my Ap2. I am currently running an AEM EMS but cant get the car started. I want to make sure that the problem is not the EMS and want to try to start the car with the Ap2 Ecu. Should it start up fine or would I cause damage if I had the shop try it? Ive searched and all I can find are topics of Ap2's with Ap1 Ecu's.

what year AP2 ecu ('04 if its the listed s2k of yours)? 2006+ is drive-by-wire.
Also, unless the AEM will bypass it you will be stuck with an 8.2k redline.

I can't imagine any reason why starting an F20C with an AP2 ECU would be anything to worry about. Fuel tuning would be a bit off, but not enough to hurt anything during a "can it start and idle" type test.

So, IMO, put your OEM ECU back in and see if it'll fire.

I agree. It would be a valid test to rule out the ECU (EMS) as the source.

Thanks for the reply guys. The shop used the Ap2 ecu and the car fired up fine. The problem is with the EMS.
