lemme explain though. i own a macbookpro, and i hate osx, so i run win7 ult all the time on mine rofl. yes, i am a windows fag who loves mac hardware. anywho....my buddy has a mbp and he runs osx on it. he uses parralels and all of his windows only programs run fine while in osx. its pretty damn cool. only thing that sucks on it is if you want to run a very intense game thru it. bootcamp is a better option for that.

Here an example of what an Ipod can do:

Selectable gauge display, in the photo I'm displaying A/F (from the LC-1) in the "big" gauge and RPM and MAP in the secondary ones

All atached sensors+OBD2 sensors can be logged and displayed:

I think I logged A/F, IAT, RPM, TPS and MAP in this picture.

The log files can be sent to a PC (via e-mail for example) and analyzed with Logworks PC-Software.

The Ipod is mounted in a Tomtom GPS holder, so I can use it for Navigation or Track logger as well (I'm in love with the little gadget)

Very cool! I will check into this setup. I do not really want a ton of gauges, and the TV2 took care of that. It would be nice to be able to datalog without having to mount/secure a full laptop in the car though.

The ipad is basically a toy for people with expendable income. A laptop is a better tool for serious work 99% of the time.

i agree but with all the apps out there, especially the one that doctors can use...i thought they would jump on this since its so skinny and would do the job pretty well. Again does anyone know what kind of connection i would have to look into getting to hook the computer up.

If you are using stock ecu, then you have to get a dongle for the obdii port (can get a wireless one), and then you could use an ipad/phone/etc to view the normal ecu parameters

If you are using kpro/aem v2, then it is usb, aem v1 is a serial connection
