whats the easiest way to tune my 2004 with a cai, test pipe and a amuse r1 titan. right now it is acting a bit sluggish at times. please let me know what i should do.

 

If it's sluggish, then it sounds like you are having issues with heat soak. The best way to deal with that is to get a Hondata IMG, colder spark plugs, higher pressure radiator cap, and change out your coolant with 80% water / 20% antifreeze.

Regarding the tune, your best bet depends on your budget. If you want to sqeeze the absolute most out of it, then AEM EMS or Hondata K-Pro is it. However, if you can find a tuner that is good with a Greddy E-Manage, then it would be the cheapest option that would give good gains.

 

as far as standalones are concerned, haltech just released their patch harness to use their platinum 1000 box with the ap1 not too long ago. not sure if it works with 04-05 ap2's though.

 

^ That's interesting. I would be very surprised if it didn't work on the '04-'05, since you could swap a stock AP1 ECU into an '04-'05 without any trouble.

 

i'd e-mail haltech to make sure. i'll be picking up the patch harness and the haltech platinum 1k for my ap1.
