What's going on with my car? Please help :)
First time posting here and I gotta admit that I didn't really search much to see if I can find the answer since I didn't really know what I should look for.
So background on my car is that it's a my03 with 80k miles on it that I bought from an auction. Took it to the track once before. It did come with a K&N intake, roll bar, and some other track oriented goodies.
I put a test pipe and titanium exhuast on it. One night after a canyon run I followed my own car while my buddy was driving it and noticed that almost 70% when he lifted or downshifted, it would shoot flames.
Tonight I hooked up the OBD-II scanner to it to see if I can read anything and find out if its the rich my00 ecu. It actually didn't read anything at all. No codes, can't read the vin number etc either. I check the ecu behind the kick panel and it looks like it's stock? Not AEM that's for sure. Anything I should check for to see what is up with it? It did pass California SMOG emissions if that info helps anyone???
This is the build thread to the car btw.

Thank you all in advance

It's normal, you have damn near straight exhaust, 100% throttle is rich so you have increased fuel being dumped in exhaust and BOOM flames. Enjoy it and don't worry so much. You wouldn't pass emissions with anything funny going on in that state.
