$1,000 for install & tune for Meth Kit?

I would say do it, you could always transfer it over when you go with the inline or something else. Also why can't you just buy an inline manifold for $500 and a larger turbo and a DP from inline? You'll need to knotch the frame and just use the rest of the greddy kit. By going with the inline mani you can get a bigger turbo and more turbo options. You may need to refab a couple of things but it's a start.
[QUOTE=TRBOKEV,Aug 13 2008, 10:22 AM] I thought of this already..
I started putting the pieces together that I found on one site on the web that sold inline stuff separate. After adding the price for a manifold, down pipe, turbo and even priced their charge pipe etc price I was blown away at how they sell their kit for 3900 or 4000 when if you buy everything separate its more than 1K less than the kit price is.

Your also paying for the R&D on the kit and the labor to make the DP / piping / etc.
You also didn't include things like injectors / fuel pump / etc that are also included in the kit...
I don't want to start this into a IP debate, fact is the greddy kit is for 300hp stock nothing more without spending enough money where you could have already had 500hp so whats the point?

every post I read of yours you are just bashing the greddy kit and trying to prove to owners who are trying to mod it that we should have all just gone inline pro from the start and essentially condescending us while doing so.
instead of trying to prove you are right, maybe just realize that some people wish to try to mod what they have and whether or not it is the most cost effective or efficient is opinion of course. I know for me I just want to try to push the greddy kit a little more than most people have and see what kind of numbers I put down. Obviously, the IP would have given me more power for the same money, but if me and others like me want to spend xx dollars on our 300whp greddy kits then let us do it without criticism.
with joey I do agree with you that yes he should have just gone inline since he is in NJ.
Please don't think i'm starting some kind of argument, just merely stating my own opinion.

So you are going to go with the aquamist kit?
When are you getting your retune? I want to go down and check it out@

he is pretty optimisitic as far as my numbers and performance goes.
gains could be great, or they could be crappy, we'll see!
either way, I wanted to give it a shot.

Again I was refering to ONLY the OP, I encourage people who must use greddy to mod their kits but for people who want 500+ out of a 300hp unit its called being realistic.
I will say I love, and I mean love the quick spool of the Greddy, I would eventually like to auto-X and/or track the car and I think Greddy is perfect for this.
I basically want it all, the quick spool of the Greddy and the 500 ponies of the inline............

I was referring to joey specifically, he does not have to worry about carb here so i didnt even bring that point up.

yeah, for now I just want to see if I can get around 340whp. Which compared to my 290 is a big jump.
