Post 10000 RPM?

Does anyone know or have tried to increase the RPM redline of S2K?
Of course it has to be reliable too, I have a 05 S2k~ I dont think I would go for turbo in the future, I just want mod it in N/A.
Any N/A guys here that made some good gain, and performance?

Thanks

hope your wearing your nomex gear, your about to get flamed big for this I am sure. there is little reason to increase the redline of the S2K on either year engine as more power can be found other ways much more safely. just a quick answer as I am at work and dont wanna get caught on s2ki

I was told that the headwork is what limits increasing the RPM. The people who built my head said there are racers in Puerto Rico that are revving to 12k RPM w/ their F20

Do you realize that you are asking this question in the "Forced Induction" forum? This forum is for those who talk of superchargers, turboes and nitrous.

It wont make more power unless you change the cams. The power drops off unless you can get custom cams made. Plus headwork as well to make sure it can handle the revs.

In the end you won't gain much HP probably and just end up causing much more wear and tear on the motor than going FI.

Sure you can lighten up the valve train to be able to rev higher
But cams will limit air flow as Kane said.
Also I'd be concerned with piston speed

What are the limiting factors? Is it the weight of the valves? Venomous, you said that you lighten the valvetrain. Does that literally mean lighten as in less weight? I wish I understood this kinda stuff.
