Bob, that's an amazing feat! News like this is why people continue to buy Comptech superchargers. There are numerous options available on the market right now, but for some reason people keep buying Comptech. I did. I'm a year into ownership and I've yet to have any issues with mine. Can't wait to read about your 200k supercharged miles!

Mr Modifry

I take it you are still on the original oil jet bolts?

This was a good read
Yup. Should I be worried?

I've heard they're a problem but never got the details or looked into what it takes to change them. Is this a DIY job? Oil pan's never been off the car, I assume it will need to come off?

Speaking of oil pan, I forgot to mention the car has no oil leaks at all. There is the expected seepage in a few places but never a drip.

Hey Bob,
Good show. Thanks for sharing it with us.

I am amazed that you never went with the AEM EMS.

Bob, I've always considered the new oiljet bolts as insurance. And like all insurance, most of the time, you could have gotten away without it.
Since I have the Vortech, this required the removal of the oilpan to install the oil return fitting. While the pan was off, I did the bolts.
Here's a thread with pics to show you what's involved:

Like you guys I really only did my oil jet bolts because I had the sump off for the turbo oil return.

The bolts came about because of a few failures during extended and consistent high revs in places like Germany and Italy with Autobahn/stradas. Probably not necessary elsewhere.

As far as install is concerned, 2-4 are a doddle. 1 is a major PITA due to lack of access behind the oil pump/pick up and the fine thread of the bolts.
