I was thinking a cool 15 psi...

But then I'd probably have to get a clutch and I'm sure I'd need to upgrade my exhuast... as much as I don't want to

so ~$450-500 for tuning, ~$1,500 for the clutch installed, and ~$1,300 for the exhuast I want.

Kinda costly
Do it

Good numbers. Did you do it on pump gas? I am eventually going to bump the boost up to 10 psi on pump gas but was going to wait until I get my ARP headstuds on.
Do you think the stock headbolts will hold up and keep the head from lifting with that boost? I was worried in doing this with the stock headbolts and didn't want to score a cylinder.

Spoolin,

contrary to what many believe, heads do not lift that easily if not, at all. I wouldn't worry about it if everything was installed correctly

TURN THE BOOST UP

I've been running 14psi for awhile now on a 2mm and stock bolts and have yet to have any lifting issues. I've also spiked up to 18psi quite a few times while I was messing with the boost solenoid

Well, the head has never been removed and the car only has 9500 original miles(boosted since around 3000) so I would assume it was installed correctly from the factory.
I'll try 10 psi on pump gas with the stock headbolts then and see what happens. From my calculations I will be around 18.5:1 total compression. Do you think that is safe on pump gas? What do you think the maximum overall total compression on pump should be that is safe? Before having to do any engine mods that is. I would also assume that around 18 degrees of timing will probably be about the highest I'll be able to go also.
