Default 10psi pulley VCS

i just installed my 10 psi pulley and it only reads 8.2 psi at 9100rpms on the AEM EMS


what you guys suggest? is there anything i need to do so it will reach 10 psi?

do u have a aftercooler because it should read about .5 less boost. But if you have an EMS you can always raise the redline a little to get the full boost

Altitude and any cylinder head porting, CR change will effect the Max boost reading. Any other mods to the engine? What altitude do you live at? Is the belt tight?

check the belt, check for any boost leaks

yes i have full port and polished head and fully built bottom end 9:1 CR

i live in chicago

maybe i should check the belt

i'm sorry i forgot to mention my pulley size is 4.5"

A ported head and lowered CR will cause a lower boost # than a stock CR and stock head.

Time for a smaller pulley to get more boost with your 9:1 motor.
