S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

1lb of boost = how much HP?

Anyone with the name "balls" has to go for it
LOL!

This is a good question that I would also like to know. For those with the Greddy kit, how many are running more than 7-8psi with a boost controller? Also, would it be recommended to get a 3mm HG running it at 10psi or would it still be ok with the stock HG?

I just got the kit and was able to drive it for the first time last night and im pretty sure ill be happy with the kit out of the box but maybe later on I will have the urge to up the boost.

I'll be running 9.5-10psi once I get it tuned.

I hold about 8.7 psi in 40 degree temps with my current boost controller settings, but when the temp drops below 25 degrees it holds at about 9.7 psi.

I'm getting a little more tuning done in 2 months and I will be shooting for 9.5 psi in 70 degree temps. The car did feel especially nice when it spiked to 9.7 in the dead of winter.

If properly tuned, I don't mind going over 10psi for brief stretches on my stock engine.

For just 10psi on a small little turbo, no need for a headgasket.

Not to mention once you get a HG and throw in labor and what not you just threw away the one thing the greddy kit has going for itself...price.

ok so 9.5 psi wil give me very generally ballparking here, 10whp up from the basemap of 8psi on the Greddy. The thing is I spent lets say $4,000 for 80hp it would be stupid not to spend another $300 for 20-30whp (buying the Boost controller), but I drive this car a lot and I feel as though that extra 10-30WHP, will be slightly insignificant, at around 280WHP other then saying "I put down over 300WHP on a dyno". I feel the extra HP from upping the boost may not be worth it (extra stress on the engine/tranny blah blah blah)

discuss..............
Thats kinda your own decision on whether the extra couple horsepower is worth the money.

As sideways has mentioned, he (and I) included are running well over 450+ on stock drivetrain parts (although I recently went to the R200 for drag racing) and everything has held fine. Just don't be an idiot and it will serve you will.

Under ideal conditions one bar (14.5 psi) will add 100 percent to the baseline hp. Thus each one psi will add ~7 percent.

In the real world it requires good operating temperatures, correct fuel and tune to approach this number.

Take your baseline hp, divide by 14.5 to start. This number is the max you can add per psi for calculations. It will usually be a little less.
Do you mean that it typically takes 14.5psi to reach 400 rwhp?

I think what I said was clear. It depends on the base line and other factors. It is only an optimistic rough guide line.

ATO, I was seeing 360 rwhp at 7 psi with the high flowing Alaniz head, 16+ rwhp per psi.

I just don't want the PSI to spike to "unsafe" levels, but I guess if I just leave it as is, (7-8psi stock) how high can It really spike?

I didn't know if you meant wheel or crank hp

The Lovefab and Full Race setups make about 400 (double at the wheel) on 10psi.
